The New Eight Steps to Happiness
The Buddhist Way of Loving Kindness by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
Happiness is a part of the mind that experiences inner peace, so the real source of happiness must lie within the mind, not in external conditions. If our mind is pure and peaceful we will be happy regardless of our external conditions. In this book, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso reveals practical ways to find meaning and lasting happiness in our busy modern lives.

Time to open our hearts 6/26-7/24
If our mind is pure and peaceful we will be happy regardless of our external conditions. Therefore we need to abandon all negative minds – all delusions, especially the mind of self-cherishing. Then through opening our hearts to the minds of Cherishing Others, Love and Compassion we will all come to experience true Peace and Happiness in our everyday lives.

Meditation Teacher Dona Zeuli

Dona is our Education Program Coordinator and member of the Teacher Training  Program. She has been an active member at Samudrabadra since 2011 and spends her time volunteering as EPC while enjoying retirement in Cape Coral with her husband and four rescue kitties.  “I often think how fortunate I was so many years ago to have found Samudrabadra Kadampa Buddhist Center. My life wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either – maybe you know that feeling. I don’t even know what I was looking for, maybe some peace, maybe something more than the ordinary everyday. What I found was a group of warm, welcoming people; guided meditations that helped to clear the noise out of my mind and relatable teachings on improving my life. I am so grateful for Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s modern presentation of New Kadampa Buddhism that is geared to us, you and me – ordinary modern people. Please come join us and check it out for yourself!”  -Dona Zeuli
