Offering Our Faith Retreat – Celebrating Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
with Gen Kelsang Namdrol Wednesday June 4th, 10:00am – 3:30pm
plus Offering to The Spiritual Guide Prayers at 4:30-6:30pm
Cost – Free, no registration, simply drop-in to one, two or all three sessions.
Everyone is welcome! No experience is needed.
Every day we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe-la, our Root Guru and Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition.
But on the auspicious day of June 4, at Kadampa centers around the world, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we offer him our faith through using the special prayer Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples and collecting our Guru’s name mantra in a one-day retreat.
There will be three sessions of retreat using the sadhana, The Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Tantra and the special request prayer. The retreat will conclude with Offering to the Spiritual Guide prayers.
Session 1: 9:00 – 10:00 am
Session 2: 10:30 am – 1:30am
Session 3: 1:30 – 2:30 pm
Offering to the Spiritual Guide Prayers: 4:30 – 6:30 pm
The Resident Teacher
Gen Kelsang Namdrol is a modern Buddhist nun and the
Resident Teacher of Samudrabadra Kadampa Buddhist Center.
She has been studying, practicing, and teaching Kadampa Buddhism for many years
under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. Gen Namdrol’s heartfelt and practical teachings are presented with warmth, clarity, and humor making them accessible to everyone.
