Join us for Sunday Morning Meditation and learn how we can gain the power to be happy, no matter what life throws at us through meditation and spiritual practice. By applying Buddha’s timeless wisdom and meditation to our daily lives, we can find happiness from a different source – inner peace.

“Happiness is a part of the mind that experiences inner peace, or peace of mind, so the real source of happiness must lie within the mind, not in external conditions.  If our mind is pure and peaceful we will be happy, regardless of our external circumstances.  If it is impure and unpeaceful we will never be happy, no matter how hard we try to change our external conditions.  We could change our home, or our partner countless times, but until we change our restless, discontented mind we will never find real happiness.”

Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, from The New Eight Steps to Happiness

These classes will be based on The New Eight Steps to Happiness, The Buddhist Way of Loving Kindness.  This inspiring and well-loved book explains how to meditate on Eight Verses of Training the Mind.

Everyone is welcome! No experience necessary. Each class will include guided meditations and a talk. Drop-in to any one or all of the classes of the series.

On the first Sunday of the month, we enjoy Sunday Morning Meditation that concludes with beautiful Prayers for World Peace.  Following, everyone is invited to stay for fresh hot pancakes with butter, syrup, fruit toppings, coffee, tea, and time to enjoy the company of our growing Sangha (community).
