On this very special day, Gen Namdrol will grant the blessing empowerment of White Tara, an enlightened being who bestows long life, good fortune, and wisdom. Tara is the compassionate mother of all living beings. The empowerment is a blissful guided meditation through which we will make a deep connection with Buddha Tara and receive her healing, joyful, and protective blessings.
We need a long life to complete our spiritual practice, wisdom to free ourselves and others from daily pain and problems, and good fortune or positive energy to achieve a long-lasting experience of inner peace and happiness.
Everyone is welcome. No experience is needed.
The empowerment will be held in the morning, followed by a delicious vegetarian lunch and then commentary on White Tara’s practice, “The Yoga of White Tara.”

The Resident Teacher
Gen Kelsang Namdrol is a modern Buddhist nun and the
Resident Teacher of Samudrabadra Kadampa Buddhist Center.
She has been studying, practicing, and teaching Kadampa Buddhism for many years
under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. Gen Namdrol’s heartfelt and practical teachings are presented with warmth, clarity, and humor making them accessible to everyone.
