To attend this monthly class, you MUST already have the HYT empowerments OR have a sincere intention to attend the 2026 International Kadampa Summer Festival in England, where these empowerments will be granted.
This monthly class will help you understand in a more meaningful way why attaining Highest Yoga Tantra empowerments is essential for our spiritual development.
Tantra, also known as Secret Mantra or Vajrayana, is a special method to purify our world, our self, our enjoyments, and our activities; and if we put this method into practice, we will attain enlightenment very quickly. Practicing Sutra teachings is the basic foundation of our spiritual path and the practice of Tantra is the quick method to fulfill the ultimate goal of Sutra teachings.
Highest Yoga Tantra contains the specific meditation methods for attaining permanent liberation from suffering and the lasting pure peace of enlightenment. To practice these teachings, we must receive the empowerments of the Heruka Body Mandala and Vajrayogini. These empowerments will be given at the International Kadampa Summer Festival 2026 at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Center, UK, July 25 – August 9, 2026
Gen Namdrol will be using the book, Modern Buddhism ~ specifically the section “The Preciousness of Tantra”, by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, for these classes. You must have this book to participate in the class. This is because, in addition to teachings and meditations, there will be group discussion and it will be helpful to have read the relevant pages before hand. Modern Buddhism Is available in our Bookstore, or as a Free download, or on-line from our publishing company Tharpa Publications.
