The Joy of Purifying Negative Karma  Meditation Retreat

with Gen Kelsang Namdrol
Register On-Line above or Drop-In and pay at the door. Cost $35.00 (includes vegetarian lunch)

We spend most of our time and energy trying to solve problems by making changes to our worldly life. However, our unhappiness and difficulties are not caused by the external world. They are caused by the ripening of negative karma we’ve created in past lives when our mind was under the influence of deluded or negative thoughts.

In this day course, we will learn how to purify the effects of negative actions or karma by applying the four “opponent powers”.  This practice helps to heal our minds from negativity and to establish clear and positive states of mind.  We then experience more joy and meaning in our lives now and create the causes to experience future happiness and avoid future suffering.

In the final session, we will engage in the practice of Buddha Vajrasattva, the Buddha of purification.

Session 1: 10-11:15 am
Tea/Coffee Break: 11:15-11:45 am
Session 2: 11:45am-1 pm
Lunch: 1-2 pm
Session 3:  2 – 3:15 pm Practice of Buddha Vajrasattva

Each session includes a talk and guided meditation. No previous experience is needed. Everyone is welcome.
