Breathe Your Way to Inner Peace Day Course

~ Saturday, November 21, 9:30 am - 2:00 pm ~

Resident Teacher JoAnn Lawrence will lead and give commentary to different types of breathing meditation in this very special day dedicated to gaining an experience of deep inner peace. The day will be one spent in silence between sessions; a wonderful and unique experience. All levels welcome, from completely new to advanced meditators will benefit greatly from this day.

From Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso:

When the turbulence of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still, a deep happiness and contentment naturally comes from within. This feeling of contentment and well-being helps us cope with the busyness and difficulties of daily life.

So much of the stress and tension we normally experience comes from our mind, and many of the problems we experience, including ill health, are caused or aggravated by this stress. Just by doing breathing meditation for ten or fifteen minutes each day, we shall be able to reduce this stress.

We will experience a calm, spacious feeling in the mind, and many of our usual problems will fall away. Difficult situations will become easier to deal with, we will naturally feel warm and well-disposed towards other people, and our relationships with others will gradually improve.

Please RSVP by emailing info@meditationinfortmyers.org or call (239) 567-9739 if you plan to attend. This helps our preparation. Thank you!
